The Three Brave Pigs
Once upon a time, there were three piglets named Dip, Tip and Pip who lived near a wide sunny meadow. Dip was the eldest and the most responsible one. He loved to build things properly.
One morning their mother said, "It is time to build your own houses." Tip and Pip giggled and said building was boring. They wanted to play in the world all day.
Tip built his house of straw in a single afternoon, singing while the wind rus Pip built his of sticks by the river, listening to the babbling brook while he worked. He left gaps to peek through. Dip, however, fetched bricks, mixed mortar and hammered from sunrise to sunset. You could hear his hammer tapping — tock, tock, tock — until the little brick house stood strong. Soon the hungry wolf came prowling. He huffed and puffed at the straw house and it tumbled! He blew at the stick house and it wobbled and fell! But the brick house held firm. The wolf growled and scratched but could not get in. The three brothers huddled inside, listening to the crackling fireplace, safe and warm together. And from that day forward, Tip and Pip learned that doing things well matters — and that a little patience can work magic.
